Happy 4th of July!!

myspace layouts
HAPPY 4th of JULY!! I love 4th of July and especially the fireworks, I was so excited when I found out that they got enough money to do the firework show at Lake Nasworthy again this year. Josh has to work today so Maddie and I are going with the rest of his family to his cousin Lindsey's engagement party at 5:00, then Maddie and I are going up to the airport firestation so we can watch the fireworks with Josh. Some of our friends are going to come up there with us so it should be fun! I cant wait to see Maddie's reaction, hopefully since we are not going to be as close as usual the sounds wont be as loud. Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th!!!

Thirsty Thursday

  • I got measured for my 12th session of toning on Monday. Turns out I lost 4 1/2 inches total, which is better than nothing, but not as much as I expect to lose next time. I enjoy going because it gives me an hour by myself to relax everyday. I did miss 5 days in a row when Mallory came to visit, so that probobly didnt help my results either. I am excited none the less, because at least now I know it works.
  • Maddie had pancakes for the first time this morning and she ate a whole pancake all by herself..for not being very big she sure is a little piglet, hehe!
  • We get to go to Abilene to try on Bridesmaids dresses Tuesday, and I am super excited!! A girl trip for the day and as much as I will miss her, Maddie will stay at home with her Daddy. It will be interesting to see what a whole day without a baby feels like, its been a long time since I have done that and honestly dont remember what its like.

Sunday Sandwich...i dunno

  • Today was a long day. Maddie and I went with my Uncle Sterling, Aunt Susan, and cousins Shea and Seth to visit Wink and check things out. I wanted to go for moral support for Shea mainly because I know how hard it is to move to a new school your junior year. He is mostly worried about the distance because his girlfriend of 2 years lives in Menard. He was really impressed with the school and all its facilities which I expected. We walked around the whole campus, (and when I saw the volleyball gym a tear came to my eye. I realized the only regret I had about moving when I did was not being able to play my favorite sport) I still to this day feel as if I missed out on a huge opportunity. But what the heck, I got to play softball and met a bunch of people that I consider some of my best friends. I guess I can live through my volleyball dreams with Maddie someday. Anyway, I am 95% sure they are going to take the job there, which is bitter sweet because as much as I love Wink School and I know its a good place to be. It is 3 hours away and I wont get to see the boys play as much as I had planned this upcoming year. However, I do like the idea of having a good excuse to visit Wink and my family up there more often. (Hopefully I can bum a ride and save gas money :)

  • Maddie now has two teeth, both are barely above the gums but they have been there since the 26th and have not gone back down yet, so maybe we have finally broke that barrier, hehe

  • I got a new pair of shoes that are AWESOME, and they have the deal inside that you hook up to your ipod and it tells you how many steps you have gone, so that will be cool if I ever get an ipod or if I ever ran HAHA

  • Also I am getting ready to send invitations to Shyannes baby shower, so if you have not given me an updated address please do so ASAP so I can get you one!!!
  • Ok, so I have a terrible headache and will continue my blabbering tomorrow!!!!

Having Faith in God's Plan

Ok, so I have been wondering what God has in mind for me in the near future. As much as I like staying home with Maddie, I realize that I need a job for the obvious financial reasons. I got a letter from SAISD saying that I didnt get a job. Ok, so I can live with that. But I didnt get a job at any of the other places I applied at. I am worried that if I dont get a job this year, then it will be that much harder to get a job next year. So just kind of messing around I applied for a teller job at San Angelo National Bank, and got an interview, which I will hear about one way or another sometime this coming week. Im not sure if I want to do that or not, but if I cant be a teacher, then I need to do something. I tend to stress out about it quite often, then realize that its all part of God's plan, which makes me feel better for awhile. I dont know why I worry so much, he did bring Josh and I together, and he also gave us Maddie (unexpectingly), and everything has turned out wonderfully! So I guess "Let Go and Let God", should be something I recite to myself several times a day. It's nice to be able to vent sometimes too, which is why I am liking this blogging thing after all.

Josh's Family Reunion

Maddie and I swimming in the pool at Joshs family reunion at Lake LBJ. She loves playing in the water. She did dunk her face a couple of times which made her really mad.
She climbed into Poppy's suitcase looking for something fun to play with.

Maddie and her cousin Noah playing with Joshs tackle box. He is 2 weeks younger than Maddie and weighs 12 lbs more than she does..hehe.

Parker, Maddie, and Noah. Here is the stats...
Parker born Sept. 21st- 23 lbs
Maddie born Aug 22nd- 16 lbs
Noah born Sept 9th- 28 lbs

She may be the smallest but she can hold her own!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to my Daddy of course, my father in law who I also love very much, and to Josh whom is a wonderful Daddy! Josh is at work today so Maddie and I are going to make him some cookies and take them up to the firestation. Josh's dad is doing better now after several trips to Abilene for some heavy IV treatments of antibiotics. His whole arm was infected when he finally went back in, and after seeing a specialist they do not think it was a brown recluse either. So we still dont know what caused it but hopefully it will get better soon.

My Father in law

Josh's dad, Jeff, is headed to Abilene to get admitted into the hospital. About 2 weeks ago he got bit by something on his hand that made a spot on his finger all rotten and there were 2 streaks up his arm. They thought it was either anthrax or maybe a brown recluse. Well they ruled out anthrax at the hospital, and gave him antibiotics and some cream to put on his finger. Well the last few days his hand has only got worse, so they are taking him to the hospital in Abilene. I would imagine they will hook him up to an IV of antibiotics, not sure what else they might try, but please pray that everything goes ok, its nothing major and he gets to come home soon.
