Taking a Break

I have been cleaning all morning, and have decided to take a break and blog!

Today is my first day off from school, and I am loving it! Josh is at work so Maddie and I are going to do some Christmas shopping. First of all because we have to buy his presents and secondly because he will be thrilled to know that we have no more Christmas shopping to do for anyone else and he can relax for the next week. I am going to break this blog up into sections because as I have said before, I dont blog enough to keep it short and sweet anymore.

*Baby Section- As for me, I am now 30 weeks along, going every 2 weeks for appointments, and have had a wonderful pregnancy thus far. We went on Thursday and I have gained a total of 3 pounds from where I started off. The doctor says everything is great and the baby is growing. We did our 3D sono last week and saw "the parts" clearly, and now I am sure that this baby's name is Kenzie Layne Schoenfield!! It made me feel better to actually see the 3 lines and not hear the doctor say, "hmmmmm, I would say a girl" (thats just not very convincing to me personally).

On a side note: My friend Amy had her baby girl, Brynna Belle, earlier this week, and she is beautiful. Maddie and I went to see her, and Maddie liked it when she would peek at her. She did not want to hold her though, but maybe with a little more time she would have warmed up to that. I'm still very curious to see how she will react to Kenzie.

Also in the past few days I have learned of 2 new pregnacy's and I am super excited about them both! Not sure if they are telling everyone yet, so I will hold off on names until they have more time to tell people themselves.

Susan and Bryan will be having their baby boy anyday now, (wishful thinking just for you Susan), my cousin Tim and his wife Kayton are due a week before me in February, then I will have Kenzie, there is a lady at work having a baby in May, my friends Amy and Dale are due in July, and then the new additions to my pregnant friends that will be due in August.
SO MANY BABIES!!!! YEAH!!!

Christmas Section- I have very little shopping done, but hopefully after today I will be finished or close to it. No big plans for my 2 weeks off from school, just the usual Christmas Eve with Joshs family, Christmas day with my family, and then to Clyde with my dads family the next day. This will be the first Christmas that Josh will have off since he started working at the fire department, so it will be extra special!!

Accident Section- earlier this week I was trying to pull out of my driveway to go pick up Maddie and I got hit on my back bumper. It doesnt look that bad on my car, but apparently its 2200 dollars to get fixed. It was my fault, but since the policeman new Josh's uncle and found out that Josh was a fireman, he let me off with a warning, which was a BIG relief. He also saw why the wreck happened and knew it really wasn't my fault. My neighbor has a very dense section of his yard right by the road full of bushes. In Joshs truck they are no big deal, cause you can see over them, however, I cannot see around them and have to pull out into the street just to see if a car is coming from that way. Usually the people driving down my street are driving slow enough that they slow down if they see me coming, and when I notice the car, I pull back in real fast. However, this lady had a dog in her lap and was going pretty fast and wasnt able to stop fast enough. It smashed her whole hood in, but we were both ok.

Here are a couple of random pictures just so I can give you something besides my rambling today:

This is our Christmas tree after Maddie put all the balls on...yes I did go back later and spread them out a little more evenly, hehe.

Maddie's first time to play in the snow!

Kayton and I at Thanksgiving....our babies will be about 1 week apart

Oh What a Busy Time of the Year!

My posting are becoming few and far between. Lately I have just been to busy or to tired blog. The only problem with this is that when I do decide to blog, I have quiet a bit to say...So here we go again...

Thanksgiving was great for many reasons! First of all..I was out of school for 5 days, which is always a wonderful thing. Secondly I got to see the majority of my family and enjoyed 3 full blown Thanksgiving meals, mmmmm. We had Thanksgiving with Josh's family the weekend before, then on Thanksgiving day we drove to Clyde to have Thanksgiving with my dad's family, then on Sunday we had Thanksgiving with my moms family.

Another thing we did during the break was attempted to start potty training Maddie. Not that we havent dabbled around with it for awhile, but this was different. I actually put an all day effort into the process on Wednesday and Friday (days that Josh was at work). She did well, for the first few days, 3 accidents on day 1 and only 1 accident on day 2. Now that I am back to work however, we are going to put it off for a few more weeks till I get out for Christmas. I just dont have the energy to mess with it when I get home from work.

Well I have been told that I have less than 5 minutes to get ready to go, because we are eating with Lacy and Dusty....so lucky for you this post is being cut short and I will have to start another post to finish up later.

Halloween 2009

So this Halloween was by far the best Maddie has had so far. The first year she was only 2 months old, then last year she was sick on Halloween and we didnt do much at all. This year however, we were in Clyde for my Grandma's surprise 70th birthday party, which went GREAT! All my family was down, so we all went door to door trick or treating in Clyde. We only had to go down one street, because they really got into it and it was a really long street. She could say Trick-or-Treat all day long, but when she got up to the stranger giving her candy she stood as quiet as a mouse and opened her bag as wide as it would go. I finally was able to get her to say thank you when we got to the last few houses. We all had a really good time...thats the way Halloween is supposed to be. We also got a pumpkin this year, and I needed the seeds for a school activity, so we cleaned it out really late one night so I could have the seeds. We were planning on carving it later, but never got around to it. Maddie had fun cleaning it out though once she got past the yucky feeling. While we were in Clyde we took some pictures at my Memaws house. The pictures of just Maddie are of her in front of a honeysuckle tree that I took pictures by when I was a little baby. If I can find those pictures I will put them up here later. The other pictures of the family are in front of my pecan tree that I used to climb on a regular basis. So all in all, we had a very blesssed weekend and I will never forget it!

New Post

Apparently (according to Susan :) I have been neglecting my duties as a blogger. You will understand once I finish this post.

This week at school is Red Ribbon week...funfun!! We get to dress up each day as listed below:

Monday- Jean Day

Tuesday- Camo Day

Wednesday- Red Day

Thursday- Inside Out Day

Friday- Jersey Day

Report cards also have to be finished by Wednesday, however, since this week is also the week we have parent conferences with the entire class (my class has 22 in it), I have to have some ready early so I can go over them with parents when they come in. I had 3 conferences today, but couldn't do any after school since I had another orthodontist appointment.

I am also on the Canned Food/Pumpkin Contest committee that is fixing to be underway, as well as on the sight-base committee.

So thats my busy life at work....here is my personal life update;

We went to Sweetwater last weekend to surprise Lacy for her birthday. They were already up there, but I told her we were busy and wouldnt be able to make it. She actually looked a little surprised and happy to see us when we showed up...it was great!

The plan for me was to take all my scrapbooking stuff with me and get the majoritity of my project ( will explain later) finished so I wouldnt have to work on it during the week. HOWEVER, I layed out all my supplies and realized that I was missing a few very important items, such as my tape, blades, shapes, and corner cutters....it wasnt even worth starting without them, so I got nothing finished while we were there.

Josh, Maddie, and I came home a little early on Sunday so I could run back by my Aunt Tanyas to pick up the stuff that I left, and then headed home to get started. Well to top things off, I still needed some more key pictures, so I had to upload them and send them to 1 hour at Walmart. We went to pick them up and while we were there I wanted to grab some stickers. Well they didnt have what I wanted so Josh started looking at the cricuit stuff, and after much deliberation, he convinced me to go ahead and buy it. I was planning on using my Christmas money to get myself one then, but its only 2 months away, hehe. So we finally got back home and I finished 2 pages.

The project I am refering to is some scrapbook pages I am making for my dad. My Grandma is turning 70 on the 29th, and we are having a surprise birthday party for her on the 31st. Each of her 7 children are responsible for making scrapbook pages that show his/her family with Grandma. Well since my dad isnt Mr. Scrapbook, I took on the responsibility. So on top of all the other activities going on this week at school, I have to come home and get busy on my scrapbooking since I still have at least 8 pages left to finish before Saturday. Wish me Luck!

As far as being pregnant goes, everything looked good the other day when I did my big 18 week sonogram, I also had Dr. Wilson take a peek to see if he could get a better look at the sex, and he went with girl as well. So Kenzie Layne will be our daughter to be!

I will try to do better on blogging more often, but don't expect to much from me till next week ;)

Really?

I got home from work on Friday, and Maddie pointed to my watch and said "braclet", I said no "it's my watch". She says "Oh a clock".......

Josh and I just kind of looked at each other in awe. She is getting too big for her britches and surprises me all the time with the the things she says. It's a good thing we are having another baby, because my daughter isn't a baby anymore, and I kind of miss it.

Big SONO.

We went yesterday for the big sonogram when they get all the official measurement and such. She was really nice and tried several times to get the baby to move, and had me change postitions, and use the restroom in an attempt to get my baby uncross his/her legs and give us a peek.
HOWEVER! That baby did not want us to know what he/she was yet, so he/she just stayed put through it all. The lady decided that she would give a guess, and said girl because she didnt see anything sticking out. There was not any signs of the "3 lines" that Maddie showed so clearly every time either. So right now I guess we are leaning towards girl, but I go back for a monthly check on the 13th, which also happens to be Josh's birthday, and I am going to ask Dr. Wilson to do a quick sono to see if the baby is more willing to reveal it's secret.
It's only a couple more weeks ;)

It's been awhile...

So I haven't felt the need to post anything lately, and I really can't think of anything but aimless thoughts to fill you in with. So thats what you are getting today.
  • The main thing I have been thinking about lately is the big question of BOY/GIRL? I know deep down in my heart I am hoping for a boy, but I don't feel as certain about that as I did last go round. Here are my thoughts- If it is a boy, I will be estatic to get to carry on Josh's last name and to have the little hunting buddy Josh NEEDS, as well as getting to have a Momma's boy, since Maddie is so hard core a Daddy's girl. On the other hand, if it is God's will for me to have another girl, I will have way less to worry about. Since my children will be sharing a room I will have very minor changes (more like updates) to make to the room. I will get to use all those WONDERFUL outfits that I hated packing away when Maddie outgrew them, and I will not have to worry about the circumcision (which honestly kind of scares me, probobly just the unknown). There are several other reasons I have been debating about in my head, but those are my main thoughts.
  • I LOVE FALL!! I used to say that Summer was my favorite season of the year, and yes it does have the best attribute any teacher could ask for (summer's off). However, the weather during Fall just makes me smile every morning when I wake up. It is cool, the colors are beautiful, and there are 2 great holidays in this time period (Halloween and Thanksgiving) Both of which I enjoy more than I used to because I love to dress Maddie up, and I cannot get enough time with my extended family these days, so Thanksgiving is Marvolous!
  • I go back on the 5th for my braces to get adjusted....too bad its on a Monday, because if I am sore I will have to endore an entire week at school in pain. :(
  • I am back to 22 kids again this year at school....I'm not in the mood for griping, so Im just going to leave it at that.

Thats about all I have for now, I'm sure after I find out what K-Baby's gender is my thoughts will become open for the many other things that I can talk about.
