Total weight gain: 6 pounds- as of the last appointment

Blood Pressure: 125/81- according to the machine in the nurses office at school, lol

Symptoms: DIZZINESS!!! its getting on my nerves. It seems to be happening more often, and I had to leave work this morning because it wouldn't subside. I HATE missing work! I woke up at 4:30 this morning dizzy and thought surely it would go away before work, but nope. So I came home and laid down and I am feeling much better, its not completely gone yet, but close.

Sleep: good until I woke up this morning with the dizziness

Best moment this week: getting to see Mallory and hang out with her for a few days in Hereford....and also watching Maddie and her new little looks, she cracks me up!

Movement: all the time, and she is all over the place

Food cravings: nothing really

Gender: Girl

Belly Button in or out? still in, but getting flatter

What I miss: sitting in my chair comfortably

What I am looking forward to: rearraning Maddie and Kenzies room with Kenzies crib set up and all her new bedding in it!

Weekly Wisdom: drink lots of water or you will get in trouble by your doctor, lol

Blah Day

Today is Saturday- Josh is at work, and Maddie and I have spent the entire day in our pj's. I had a good nights sleep last night, and woke up exhausted...so all morning I struggled to keep my eyes open. Maddie and I took a nap at 3 and didnt wake up till 6. Even after a 3 hour nap, I would have liked to lay in bed for awhile longer.

When I was prego with Maddie I student taught till 5 months, then worked at Culligan till 3 weeks before she was born. I do not ever remember being this tired. Of course back then I could come home and take a nap if I needed one. I guess having a two year old at home also drains a little of my energy. My house is still a mess and I dont have the energy to keep picking up the same mess everyday. As soon as I clean up Maddies stuff she spreads it all over the place within 15 minutes. So I have decided that I will clean things that Maddie cannot mess with for the next few weeks, and then the weekend before I have Kenzie, I will send her somewhere for a day or 2 and really get the house cleaned without having to reclean everything over and over.

I have been trying to do my weekly update about the pregnancy, but thought today I would update on Maddie a little bit.

* She repeats EVERYTHING! (and word for word) Phrases from commercials, electronic story books, songs, and some things people say.
* She has recently become very fond of her Cabbage Patch Newborn baby Alma, that she got last year.
* We finally started letting her watch a few cartoons, and her favorites are Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
* Almost 26 pounds
* 24 months/2T shirt size, 18-24 month pants, 5 or 6 shoe size
* Still cannot say the L sound, so her Aunt Lacy is still called Aunt Saysee.
* Still sleeps in her crib and does not attempt to climb out, she just likes to jump
* Can potty in her chair when told to, but has a hard time figuring out when she is fixing to go. We did really well last week, but she would take off running to the potty as fast as she could go, and it was already to late. At least shes trying. We arent potty training on a regular basis, just when we know we are going to be at home all day.
* She loves eating chicken nuggets, cereal (Marshmallow Maties), and all types of fruit!
* She talks to and rubs my belly...I think she likes Kenzie in there, but Im still not sure how she will like her when she enters the world. As of now, she is willing to share her toys, her room, and says she will help Mommy take care of her, hehe...We will see!
* She will organize anything! She sorted money at my parents house for 2 hours! Did you know there are not 4 but 5 coins....Quarters, Dimes, Nickles, dirty pennies, and clean pennies....thats how she sorted them :)
* She loves Animals! Going to the farm is very exciting to her. Josh even let her "drive" the farm truck. She is such a Daddys girl through and through.

That should be enough for now.

ER trip :(

So I guess I forgot to post about our late night New Years Day trip to the ER. Probobly because I was partly traumatized myself and pretty much embarrassed since I usually consider myself a good mother. But here it goes anyway....

We had got home from Lacy's house and I was sitting in the living room talking to Mallory on the phone, Josh had gone into the computer room to pay some bills or something, and Maddie was doing her usual run around the house, make a mess of everything bit. Well I heard some rattling so I told Josh to see if she was in the kitchen. (She has gotten into the Marshmallow Matties before (which is the off brand of Lucky Charms) because we dont have anywhere high enough to put that big fat bag of cereal. So he goes in and finds her NOT in the kitchen, but in the bathroom on the floor. She had dragged her potty chair up to the sink and got the bottle of Tylenol down. Either she is really strong or the last time we used it didnt completely shut the lid, because she had the lid off and was playing with them. Well I checked her teeth and tounge and due to the short amount of time that she had the bottle open, didnt think she had eaten any. (She never has been one to put things in her mouth anyway) However, just to be safe, we called poision control to ask their advise. Well she had me count the pills in the bottle (the big bottle of 225) and so I told her there were 194 accounted for. She said we should take her to the ER because for Maddies age and weight any more than 4 could be lethal. So we end up going for precautionary reasons, better safe than sorry.

Well it was horrible!!!!

They put an IV in her hand and drew blood to test the Tylenol level, and while we were waiting for the results the nurse came in with a huge bottle of activated charcoal and proceeded to fill a surenge with it....She struggled for about 15 minutes trying to force it down Maddie, then said we were more than welcome to try if we thought it would work better. So even though I am extremely upset at this point watching my daughter squeal and grit her teeth to prevent anymore of that black chalky substance going into her mouth, I thought I better try. Josh said it was much better than the alternative which would have been to put a tube down her throat. Well we finally got the first serenge emptied, and the nurse said we had 7 more to go....WHAT???????

Her poor face, neck, and hair was already stained black from what she had spit out. Her teeth were all stained and I hate to say that she reminded me of the Penguin in one of the Batman movies...not a pretty sight to say the least.

So we fought for about 45 more minutes and were able to get 4 surenges down.....The nurse thankfully asked the doctor if that would work, and since her first blood sample tested 0 for Tylenol he said we could stop until they did a second blood test. So they came in and took some more blood and it once again tested 0.
Then to make me feel like an even bigger idiot or bad mother, as if I needed any help, the doctor wrote on the discharge papers. "Keep all medications out of reach of children" Seriously! Did he think that I put it in her toy box?

So needless to say my instincts were right and she had not had any at all, which I was thankful for, even though I had to put my daughter through all that tourture for nothing. However, it did remind us that she is not a baby anymore and she is smart enough to find a way to get whatever she wants.....

So we are putting all medications up higher, and weeding out the ones we dont need. Also I am going to write down the current count of pills in each bottle so in the event that this situation ever arise again (hopefully not!) I will have a more accurate idea of what was in the bottle to begin with.

I was so super worried that she would hate me for forcing that stuff into her mouth, but she woke up the next morning and said I love you sooooo much....It made me feel better to know that at least she had probobly forgotten what I had done to her the night before. (Even though Josh and I will never forget it!)

Ouch...

I had another orthodontist appointment yesterday and she finally put the second small wire into the bracket attached to my tooth on top. When we first started she was only able to get one in there because it was to far back. Up until yesterday I had very rarely felt any pressure on that tooth, but after yesterday all I can say is OUCH! All the rest of my teeth are basically where they are going to be except for that one tooth so needless to say ALL the pressure is on one spot. I do think though that it has already moved just since yesterday, so hopefully it will make its way to the front quickly, lol.

Maddie stayed the night with Josh's parents in Bronte for the first time Monday night, and everything went great. We drove to Bronte to pick her up around lunch and ended up spending the rest of the day there. We looked at houses for sale(wishful thinking) and Christmas lights.

Today we are going to clean up a little more, finish wrapping all the Christmas presents because we are completely done with the shopping portion, and hopefully relax a little before all the craziness sets in.
